New Hosting Services

For some time now, we have been looking for a way of reducing cost of hosting to our clients as well as adding functionallity to the service.

We are now pleased to announce a new hosting package accomodated on our own server residing in the NTT/Verio hosting complex in London.

Of course we do continue to offer our Bespoke hosting for the more demanding websites with NTT/Verio as well as our standard hosting packages from Service Centre.

Slatter's Bistro

We were please to be asked to design a new site for an existing customer, The Abbey Hotel, Tewkesbury has recently introduced a new arm to his business.

Slatters restaurant specialises in freshly prepared high quality mediterranean food served in contemporary surroundings. The restaurant is modern and is split into two adjoining but distinct eating areas of similar size.

They have ideal facilities for parties of 10 to 25 people who can hire one or other of the two restaurant areas for their functions. The restaurant can cater for up to 55 people and can offer parking for diners.

New Statistical Package

Following an increasing number of requests from our clients for statistical and performance indicators for their websites, we are introducing a New Stats Package service to you.

CBN sponsor the Gloucestershire Business Breakfast Club

CBN were pleased to sponsor the Gloucestershire Business Breakfast Club at this year's Business Connections Exhibition

The first Business Connections exhibition took place on 21st & 22nd April at the Centaur, Cheltenham Racecourse and was deemed a great success by exhibitors and visitors alike. The show had over 130 exhibitors, more than 35 seminars, a Business Cinema and a very successful Meet the Buyer area.

This business to business exhibition provides one of the largest networking opportunities in the South West. Martyn Johns of Business Link said of the 2004 show 'This has been a great networking event, it is in a fantastic facility and is something that Gloucestershire, as a business community, really needs. Hopefully we will build on it for years to come.'

The GBBC stand was sponsored and manned by staff of CBN with other members of the GBBC adding support over the two day event. As a direct result of the show, the GBBC pushed its membership through the 1,000 members barrier for the first time in its 13 year history.

CBN Introduces Virtual Assistants

A Virtual Assistant provides office support to businesses remotely via email, telephone, fax or post. It can be viewed as another term for 'outsourcing' via the Internet.

Following problems in finding outsourced services for her business, Manager, Karan Nuttall, decided to research the needs of local businesses, especially during holidays, as well as when faced with staff sickness and pregnancy leave or unexpected peaks in work demands.

Karan says “Working with a Virtual Assistant is as easy as working in the traditional office setting but without the overheads. Work can be collected and returned within a local radius or else it can be sent and returned via e-mail, fax, or land mail”.

One of the main benefits of the service is the way that it can reduce overheads by removing the need for employee related expenses, additional equipment or office space. Clients only pay for the work done.

CBN Partners with Charlton Networks

CBN's recent partnering with Charlton Networks Ltd of Winchcombe saw its first joint venture at the recent 'IT Secret's show' at the Cheltenham Racecourse. Whilst the number of visitors at the show was a disapointment, CBN enjoyed good attendance at both days. At the show, the partnership was offering 'FREE' network and communication 'healthchecks'. A number of visitors have taken up the offer and were highly delighted with the results.

Roger Nuttall (MD CBN) and Richard Perry (MD Charlton Networks) discuss the finer points of the show.

One client commented afterwards. "After being advised by a number of companies that we should rip out our system and start again, it was nice to be told that only very little required urgent attention and a rolling three year strategy for replacement fell easily inside our budget".
